Greg and Ian Grazing School

Date: May 3, 2018 - May 5, 2018
Location: Clark, MO.

Guess what? It's Grazing School Time!

Greg Judy, Mark Bader and Ian Mitchell Innes are teaming up at Judy Farms for their annual spring Planned Grazing School to be held on May 3-5, 2018. Greg & Ian will be covering all the critically important steps in implementing planned grazing.

Mark Bader will cover the relationship of different growth periods of grass in relation to animal performance. Mark is simply the best at explaining the rumen function on grass in herbivores. If your animals don’t perform, it does not matter how much grass you grow.

Livestock can heal your land and build your soils. It does take proper management to achieve this. Learn how to stop giving your hard earned money to the input folks. Ian will be covering planned grazing principles in the classroom. Come learn from the best. Ian has been successfully ranching in South Africa for many years. You will not forget Ian, once you have met him!

Greg will also be leading pasture walks each day on Judy farms. The walks will cover our grazing practices, fencing, water, cattle management, grass genetics, marketing, leasing land, sheep, pastured pigs, laying chickens and our latest silvopasture practices.

Lunch will be served each day along with breaks & delicious snacks.

Thursday May 3: registration is from 8-9am. Class will start at 9am- 5pm.

Friday May 4: class will start at 9am -5pm. Dinner will be at 6pm. Your families are welcome to attend the dinner banquet. This is a BYOB affair. We will have tea, coffee and water.  This is a great time to socialize with other attendees from the school. Greg will be available after the banquet to answer any grazing questions you may have.

Saturday May 5: Class will start at 9am-3pm.

There will be a farm tour everyday, so bring waterproof shoes and rain gear.

Do it right the first time, get educated before starting off and making costly mistakes with your livestock and land. We have made plenty of mistakes and we are not shy about sharing them.

Our farms are now growing new top soil, livestock numbers are growing, soil life is off the charts, ground water is healthy, springs are starting to flow, wildlife is flourishing. Lets bring Profit back to the ranch!

The cost is $800/person. If there is a couple the cost will be $600/person. If you have attended one of our schools here; the cost will be $600. Final amount due by April 15. If you sign up after April 15, the cost will be $850 per person.
